  • 123Triad Review – 2 Thumbs Down (WORST OVERALL)

After using this company and having a horrid experiance I have looked into other reviews and have found the same negetive reviews.

Do not be fooled by there “cheap” prices, the sites they build are cookie cutter templates and lack any search engine visibility.

123 Triad is a very bad choice for a web design company – probably the worst “company” to have. The prices are too high for what you get and I learned that they take people to court to get their money even if they do not deliver a website! They claim 100% satisfaction and packages from $480 but it is a total lie!!!

Be careful and DO NOT sign their sneaky contract or any paperwork they send you!!! Once you do, their attitude changes and you will end up calling them daily to get an update. You will be lucky if you get an answer at all because the design team is not even in the US but rather in India. Bad service, horrible attitude and the only thing 123 is interested in is MONEY! $$$$$$ Not designing website or hosting services…ask them for real references to get the story behind this “company”.
I hope this will save some people from getting hurt by paying 123 Triad money and end up with NOTHING but a law suite from the owner! I highly do not recommend this company to consumers and people, especially outside NC since they are based in Raleigh.

Do your homework and be very careful. Good luck!

Tara, Why did I not find this article before recommending 123 Triad to do my clients website. I have been to Hell and back. We have experienced everything you documented. This company should be closed and never allowed to do any work for anyone.
As a senior designer, I still cannot believe that I had to hold their hands every step of the way and still got nothing but 8 weeks of pure torment and still have a site that looks like some rank amateur did it. Simple typographic changes amounted to 1 step forward and 3 giant steps backwords. I have taken screens shots of every mistake and incompetent short coming of a firm that should shoveling road dirt
and not doing website design. Please if this can be exposed to a viral basis to warn people about this firm and its many offices around the country to stop considering to use them when there are legit, reputable and worthy firms out there to design good websites. Hope this helps in exposing 123 Triad as terrible web design company.

    • Richard, If your still looking for a good company you should consider one of the companys on my top 10.
I’ve been where you are and wish I had found them prior to the upset 123 caused me.

see the top firms here: http://bestwebdesignpractices.com/top-design-firms/ by far EXM Media is the most affordable for development considering your a designer.

Good Luck, and let me know how it went.

    • Freakin horrible customer service. whats up with that?

    • I didn’t like the way the layout was. Web designing is sup-post to be fun and catchy. Not the way, if you want media work.

    • Appreciate good web designers because they make the difference, out of thousands of design companies 123 triad stands out as bad client service and template designers, get smart

    • yea agreed realy bad client service, 123 Triad robs there clients

    • need more work. 123 triad sucks!

    • really i think i’ve seen better web designs. more eye appealing ,and character in ones work. (amateurs)

    • i called this company they suck …customer service sucks….. waste of time..big no GO!

    • A lot of things i’ve already seen and done. Nothing really caught my eyes.

    • see what i mean same work. I extremely recommend that you talk to a expert prior to buying one.

    • Kristofer Beckley

      “no comment” crappy

    • very unexciting. there are lots of people tryin too hard!

    • the web design is’nt too great.

    • WE NEED MORE CREATIVITY. Really???

    • thank who ever for a place to lay it down on bad services..I did not enjoy copy cats, LOL or stealer’s. how ever you want to put it.

    • Soon you guys will realize to shape up and do what was promised in contracts… Do not try 123triad ..This is great we can post it out for peeps to get a good fill on what they get into.

    • Terrible ….phone customer service… i went to 123triad for work….I couldn’t understand this stupid accent…. just thought i needed to put it out there.

    • This is an exceptional content, and I can agree with what was written here. What is it when better things come out of not so great company?? You have something .

    • Ive seen same designs doesn’t look as creative. Kind of like it wasn’t original. But time will tell.Your blog was good.

    • I was asked by a client to “finish” their website that 123 triad had started. This site was absolute BULLSHIT. The entire thing was coded with tables. If you know anything about web design, then you know table layouts were used in the 90′s before there was any support for CSS. This makes for a sites that you can barely edit because every block of the table is a fragile piece that needs to be the exact same size… so forget about creating good content. Instead just create content that fits in the boxes? Horrible.

The client also had photos that were on the site that were stretched, pixelated, and basically mutated beyond comprehension!

Trust the owner of a successful marketing firm: If you want a website, just google “your-states-abbreviation web design” and you’ll end up with a local, reputable company.

    • 123 triad review 2 thumbs down.. OMG! :)

    • These guys can’t even do a simple update.
And when they couldn’t deliver – they were asking for extra charge to correct their own mistakes. I can’t wait to end my contract with this company!!

    • this review saved me! thanks Tara keepin it real with one of your top designers and so far so awesome!

    • holy crap 123 Triad is the worst in customer service, I’m positive that entire company is indian outsourced!

    • Gold! you save my day ;)

    • I just want to add my experience with Triad 123 web design. Hands down the worst and most dishonest company that I have ever done business with. Where do I start? They claim that no templates are used and that all of the design work is done in house. Well, I filled out a mandatory questionnaire that did no more than ask me my name and to identify sites that I liked and some used by my “competition”. I was also required to select a “project manager”. I completed the form, picked”Rob” from the bio and sent it off. I called shortly afterwards as the questionnaire was so short on requests I assumed that there would be some kind of meeting with Rob my manager before work began so that he at least could find out what I wanted.

Instead, I got a phone call from a woman who could not speak English calling herself “Katrina” who announced that she was my project manager. “Jude” was her project manager and “terry” was Jude’s Project manager. Kristina told me that someone whom she was not allowed to identify did the design. Hmmm. Three managers and none of them Rob and a mystery gnome making the website. Katrina asked me nothing but said she had just emailed me three website designs to choose from.

Sure enough three hideous websites that screamed “TEMPLATE” were in my inbox. I was annoyed, where wea the “close dialogue” that I had been promised? This was off the shelf garbage that I had no input into. Icould not explain anything to Katrina since she spoke no English.

Thenk I was told each hyperlink tab was $30 more if over 3 total; a feedback form on the first page would be $90; a limit of 300 words per page applied, and a scrolling box with testimonials would be an extra charge as well. None of this was disclosed in the contract or on the website.

Clearly, the work was done to a very low prefab standard and everything was outsourced. The management vigorously denied any outsourcing but Katrina let slip that she was in the Philippines.

This is false advertising and the company is completely dishonest. The US based people are all “project managers” whatever that means. Almost none have college degrees, and all seem to have no qualifications for working in web based graphic design.

Avoid this place as you would the plague: you will regret it tf you do not. Oh, by the way, the “portfolio” on Triad’s web site looks nothing like the product they actually produce.

    • Joe,

Regretably, I stumbled across this post much too late. My husband’s dental website is a travesty. We are ashamed to go live, and they are pushing for the fee to do so… Our experience has been a joke. How can this company get away with this? Is there anything that can be done? I appreciate this information and would love to hear from you.

    • I had terrible experience 123 triad…there support is crap ..now iam a choosey person, after all anyone would want good result after they have invested into a good website. Finally i went with a Pacific Company from Fiji islands Called BulaWebs.

At least ii have a better site then my competition.

    • Hey Tom,

What was your experience with http://www.bulawebs.com, would you like to share?

      Please email tara@bestwebdesignpractices.com

I would love to get some more good companies on this site.

      Thanks :)

    • My website just went live – PLEASE READ:
      Simply put:
      1. They definitely use templates – there is no doubt about this – FALSE ADVERTISING.
      2. Everyone that you deal with regarding your website is outsourced – thus there are huge language barriers. THEY LIE WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE IN THE U.S.!!!
      3. Since they do not speak English well, your website will be full of typos and grammatical errors – and they. therefore, can not perform or design any creativity with language or marketing.
      4. You actually have to hold their hand while YOU design the website. There is zero creativity on their part. Their is zero design help – YOU HAVE TO DESIGN IT!!
      5. Changes and requests for updates will always take > 24 hours – even for simple changes.
      6. BEWARE: THERE ARE NUMEROUS HIDDEN COSTS. My contract was for approximately $650.00 but I ended up paying over $1600.00!! Pull down menus, > 300 words of text/page, certain fonts, address bar icon, Contact Us Box, Syncing Contact Us box to your email, making your website Mac compatible, having a flash header on just one page and not every page, NOT USING THEIR TEMPLATES – are all hidden costs!!!SITE WENT LIVE.
      7. I am embarrassed that I used them!

My rec: pay a local English speaking web designer about $2000.00 and your end product will be so much better!

    • PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY> THEY ARE THE WORST. HAVE NOT HAD ANYTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM THE BEGINNING> THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS. WISH I HAD READ SOME OF THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I CONTRACTED WITH THEM.

    • Wow – so glad I googled reviews and found all your posts. THANK YOU! I sent them a request to contact me yesterday to help build a website. What bullshit artists!

    • AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

The worst service in any field I’ve ever experienced.

They are insulting, rude and will always lie to you about when and if they are working on your project.

      They have Zero Creativity!

      All work is outsourced.

      All pages are WordPress Templates.

      Loads of hidden fees.

      Huge scam.

      I hate them.

    • Thank God for giving me good sense. I almost became the next victivm as I was prepared to take the plunge but something said do more research on the company. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate your feedback and guidance. I will not be making the follow-up call with Roy.

    • Wish I would have found this site earlier! I am going through HELL with 123 Triad! I was assured that NOTHING to do with my website would be outsourced. The first representative to call me was here in the states in Virginia. After that, everything was fine. Then, I needed adjustments made to the page. Placed a “ticket” with them and spelled out plain and simple what I needed done. It was simply words to change. I went through 2 weeks of replies to this ticket of them “not understanding” what I was asking to be done. When I finally got someone to call me, they were from India and told me that they were losing phone line connections and that they would have to call me back. I still haven’t heard back from them. When I try calling them, they tell me that I can ONLY speak with the person that is handling my ticket request. This is SUCH a nightmare!

    • THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER. CHARGED ME FULLY AND ENDED UP WITH NO WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are garbage and if anyone wants to bring them down I stand with you.

    • Worst company ever!!! Do not use this company!

    • I started with the intention of posting a new criticism of Triad. But after reading all the other posts I really don’t have anything to say except they are 110% true. I’ve experienced a bit of everything mentioned in the other posts. It ended up taking over two months for them to complete my site and it was the most painful process ever. There were times when I wondered if my so called project manager graduated high school.

These are the most incompetent people I’ve ever hired to do anything. Stay away.

    • This company is THE WORST when it comes to response time, a reasonable customer timeline, customer service, and explanation/understanding of customer needs. If you ever have the misfortune of having to somehow work with this company, be prepared for a long, drawn-out headache. I was very upset with the fact that an employee named Todd (project leader) was not getting back to my fiancee regarding her website in a timely manner and had previously promised to have the website published prior to a radio ad ADVERTISING THE WEBSITE. Obviously this did not happen and did we hear anything in the form of an apology? Of course not. So, finally, the website was about to go live and I was so sick of the company’s responses (when I asked for my 100% money back satisfaction guarantee I was told by not only Todd, but also the company manager named John that this was not possible and that I was well-past the date) that I called and had a 30 minute conversation with company manager named John WHO CLEARLY COULDN’T HAVE GIVEN A CRAP ABOUT ME. I asked him how we could make this right since obviously the website which had multiple promised publish dates in the past and had already cost me many customers because it appeared that I had lied about my website. John told me “if you feel you are entitled to something beyond what our contract outlines, feel free to let me know, but we’ve done nothing outside the realm of the contract”. I told him that I was going to explain all over the internet as many times as possible that I was going to negatively review their company because of my horrendous experience, his response was “well sir, the first amendment does give you the right to free speech, so if you feel obligated to write reviews about Triad, you go ahead and do so”. Clearly he hates his job and his company.

If you ever consider them for anything, think twice. Ask someone else. Go ANYWHERE else. Save yourself the headache, the time, and the money. Triad is not to be trusted and they are not worth working with.

    • OMG…I am sick right now. I have been dealing with this company since May and all I can think is I just lost $900.00. I have already canceled my credit card that I used for the deposit as I was afraid they would try and hit me for the balance. We never got past the design stages. I have built 2 of my own template websites so I know enough to know that their work is template. I absolutely cannot stand what they have “designed” for me. I have told them so and they are now being so unprofessional it is ridiculous. I think I’ll take my losses and run like hell.

I thought I was a thorough consumer and couldn’t be scammed. I even called some of their “customers” who gave positive feedback. All I can figure on that is that these “customers” don’t know the difference between a template and an original professional website.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I am a small business owner and I am sick about wasting $900.00
